Floor coverings are a big part of designing and decorating any room but before buying a carpet you should make a plan that includes your interior design, wall color, room size, furniture etc. Let’s talk about the sizes first and then consider the styles and materials, and shape of handmade carpet.

1) Size of the carpet:

Size is the main factor to consider when you are going to buy a handmade area rug. Measurement is always important when we are going to buy a cloth or a carpet. In order to buy a perfect carpet first, you have to measure the space where you want to place it. There are so many sizes available in the market so it’s difficult to find the perfect carpet without knowing the exact size of your room space. If you have furniture then decide how your furniture will fit on your rug. If you don’t want to put any furniture then always consider a large carpet but small enough that it doesn't hide your flooring. For example, if you want to place a rug in the hall then the width of the rug should be slightly smaller than the door. So this is a very important point for buying a carpet for your room.

2) Shape of the carpet:

If you have a round dining table and coffee table then you can take a circular shape otherwise you should take rectangular carpet.

3) Choose perfect design:

There are so many designs available in a handmade carpet. If you add a contemporary design in a traditional home interior then it looks awkward. Before buying a handmade carpet, you should know that what type of interiors you have like modern or traditional and select the design according to that.

4) Cleaning method for handmade carpet:

Handmade carpet or Area Rug is an expensive thing so you should take care of this. When you are going to clean your carpet, first read the instructions which are mentioned in the label of carpet and then follow the instructions. Vacuuming is the easiest process for cleaning a rug so you should vacuum your carpet every week. You can also clean your carpet using baking soda method and with water and detergent. Never place your carpet directly in sunlight; you should dry your carpet in shadow.

When you are searching for inspiration, decorating possibilities are nearly endless. I am going to tell you some short tips which you can use to decorate your wall.

Hang a painting:

You can select beautiful painting to hang on your wall and it is the best option to decorate a room. You can choose canvas painting or something accent type painting like war of kings or something related to nature according to your taste and lifestyle.

Display your favorite photograph:

You can also use your favorite photographs and best memories photographs, family photographs to decorate to room wall. You can also go a standard route by hanging small photographs of loved one on your wall, or you can make more interesting by handing a large photograph and centering above sofa.

Use hanging bell and mirror photograph :

You can use more small mirrors on your wall which is probably near to window for observing light and reflecting around your living room. For the mirror, you can select in different shapes like round, rectangle or in a diamond shape. You can use hanging bell inside your door and also can use a bell-jar hanging lantern in centre of the ceiling.

Use a handmade carpet:

This is the most important accessory which you can make a focal point in your room. Handmade carpet protects the expensive floor and provides warmth touch to a room.
